Easter 2010

Easter was a beautiful spring day and the children had a great time. They especially enjoyed playing at Dean's and going on an Easter Egg Hunt with their "cousins". Kayleigh found the Golden Egg and shared the Blue Bunny Egg with Jack. Jack kept wanting to bring the broken eggs to Dean. After the Egg Hunt we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Boats to see the Uncles and Erin. It was a lovely day, capped off by a trip to the beach.
Easter comfy clothes. Great for an egg hunt!

Why are you taking my picture?

I found a flower for you!

Pretty in Pink!

Sibling Love on Easter Morning!

Fishing Derby 2010

Finally a nice day for fishing and we got no bites. At least the kids didn't complain about being cold. The people next to us got a lot of fish. We just had a couple of nibbles. However, Kayleigh and Jack had a nice time spending time with Papa and Jim fishing. We'll have to go back when no one is there.
Jack and Jim take a moment to look for fish.

Kayleigh gets some fishing advice from Papa!

Jack is a very serious fisherman.

Waiting for fish!

Father and daughter time!

They are just too cute! Kayleigh makes a fashion statement wherever she goes!

Picture of the Week

Kayleigh realized she can curl her tongue like Jim. Now this is all she does. She walks around the house with her tongue curled, rides her bike that way and teases Jack and I because we can't do it. Like father, like daughter.

Green Day Snacks...Shamrock Shakes

We had some more yummy snacks in March. This time it was Shamrock Shakes. Kayleigh loved them, surprisingly, Jack did not. Oh, we had green bagels also.
Note all the green...shirt, nails, food, drink.
Kayleigh enjoys her Shamrock Shake with Lucky Charm Marshmallows.
Kayleigh can't wait to try her shake!

I love Green!

Giving it a taste!

Outside Fun with Big Trucks

One of the first nice days of March and we headed outside for some fun. We took out the big trucks and drove them around the driveway. Of course, Kayleigh had a whole plan on where and what the trucks were to do. Jack just wanted to drive them around the driveway and head them towards the road.
She looks tough, but there isn't a mean bone in her body.

Riding in style

Beep, beep, I'm a Jeep!

Let's go!

Soccer Time!

Jack started soccer at Oakwood on Saturday. He did pretty good even though it's at a tricky time. He loved to run fast and play chase. If we had to move slowly he wasn't too interested. Kayleigh is playing again this year. She had Jim go with her, which is too funny. They both did great (Kayleigh and Jim).
Look at me! I just played soccer!

Kayleigh runs so fast, she is a blur!

Jack gets ready to go! I love the socks and shin guards!

He has great form. Now he just needs to keep the ball close. He may one of those kick and run players that uses his speed. Won't earn him a scholarship but he'll score a lot of goals.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Kayleigh celebrates Dr. Seuss' birthday with the classic Green Eggs and Ham. Of course we had to have green eggs, green ham and for extra measure....green milk! Jack passed on the green stuff.
