What's New with Kayleigh?

Friday, October 30th was Kayleigh's Halloween Party. I didn't go in for this one since I was getting the chance to go in the following week for her birthday. She was very excited to be the only Little Red Riding Hood. The costume is adorable, however the lace itched her. Thankfully, Halloween turned out to be warm since she had a costume on the cooler side.

Owen, Ian and Kayleigh
Owen is Kayleigh's First Real Boy Friend that she made on her own. There is Logan but I helped with that. Owen and her became buddies through a game of "Farmer in the Dell". Jim adores Ian. When he went in to volunteer last year, Ian went up to him and said, "My mom calls me Pumpkin, so you can call me that too."
Happy Halloween!

Spotlight on Jack: October 29th

On Thursday, October 29th I got to go into Jack's classroom for his Halloween Celebration. It was great to see him doing everything and to see how he is in school. Of course he did great ( I did have my doubts). He was a bit bashful about wearing his costume and I didn't think he would wear his hat. It is crazy. But he did it and showed his bashful face. He paraded around and let me take his picture. I even got these great pictures of him doing things in the classroom!
Jack makes a monster. Learning to sequence...no problem for our Little Man!

Ambros' costume scared Alana and she was crying as she paraded around!

Captain Jack...or should we say Captain Hook!
So handsome! He is just so yummy and too cute!

Pumpkin Picking

On a chilly Friday afternoon we headed to Bishops Orchard to get our pumpkins and to have some family fun in the maze. It was suppose to be a nice fall outing. Kayleigh was excited to go but Jack had his mind set on going to Pumpkintown in East Hampton. Both kids fell asleep in the car. Kayleigh woke up excited...Jack on the other hand, did not. He had to leave to warmth of the car for the chilly October day. Let's say he was not the happiest of Little Boys. However by the middle of the outing he managed to pull it together and have a blast in the maze. He did not like it at first...he kept complaining he was cold but didn't want to put on his hat or mittens. (typical) Finally, he was his normal self. And Kayleigh even got her pumpkin to bring home to eat after dinner...although she thought it was going to be her dinner.

Jack is finally happy and enjoying himself.
I told him he would like it here!
Kayleigh had a blast! I got the pumpkins

Jack was so unhappy....just Miserable when we first got there!
All he kept saying was, "hold me" "cold"

Fall Fun at Rocky Neck

On Sunday we had a beautiful day to play at the beach. The kids loved running on the beach and through the woods. And finally we found a tree they could climb! It's amazing how perfect the beach is in the fall. I think they could have spent hours there digging in the dirt and chasing seagulls. And, of course, Jim enjoyed watching the water and all the action in the sound.
Two monkeys in a tree!
The colors on this tree are stunning! So are the kids!

If we didn't watch him he would have followed them all the way down the beach!

Spotlight on Jack

Jack Starts Preschool!
We found out that Little Blessings had a small afternoon 3s class. So after talking it over we decided to send Jack to school, like we did with Kayleigh. He kept asking all morning when he was going and was quite upset when his medical form didn't arrive so he could start on Tuesday. He did a great job. Walked right in. He did shed a few tears when he realized I was gone but Miss Sheila said they dried quickly. He participated in everything and she said he is very quiet. Haha! Hopefully he'll do well. If not, there is always next year.
Jack gets ready to go to school! Such a big boy!
School tuckered the Little Guy out. This is even after have strawberry ice cream to celebrate his big day! He fell asleep in the car and kept on sleeping. So cute!

Jack thinks he is so funny!
Why do we even buy toys for our kids? This occupied Jack for hours and he got so mad at me when I tried to put it away!
