Princess Party, November 7, 2009

Princess Party
Kayleigh finally got her Princess Party. She picked her closest friends to come and help celebrate her 5th birthday. They all dressed as a Princess (except Sophia) and we played Princess games (pass the slipper, magic pillows, went on a jewel hunt). The Princesses had a tea party with pink lemonade and finger foods, magic wands of chocolate and fruit. To top the party off, the princesses tried to break a tiara pinata. Kayleigh said "I will always remember this day. I didn't want it to end." The biggest and best surprise was Izzy coming from Maryland. Izzy is Kayleigh's best buddy from last year and they have a very special connection. She was in Connecticut for some other family fun and was able to attend the party. You should have seen Kayleigh's reaction. It was priceless. Izzy coming made Kayleigh's party.

Waiting for the party to start is so hard.

Izzy looks on as Princess Kayleigh blows out the candles. Happy Birthday!

The Black Knight is her to protect the Princesses. Jack actually said he was only going to protect Julia. He came right in from gymnastics and ran upstairs to change into his knight outfit before everyone arrived. Very cute! However, he was quickly Bashful Jack and wanted to get out of it. It was the thought that counts.

The Royal Princesses of Little Blessings! They all attended Kayleigh's Preschool at some time.

Kayleigh is 5!

Where did the time go? It seems like only yesterday she was born, all tiny with dark hair. Now look at her...41 and a quarter inches and 36 pounds, blonde hair and blue eyes and sweet as can be. Kayleigh is so happy to finally be five. And she finally remembers when her birthday is. It was another week of birthday celebrations. Starting with a family party, her actual birthday with a visit from Uncle Ed, cupcakes at school and a wrap-up with a Princess Party with her best buddies.

A cake made for a princess.

She made me so happy that she loved this cake. Just look at her face. She kept looking at it. And she said, "Sleeping Beauty smells delicious."

I am 5!
