Fall Bonfire with old friends

We had a fall bonfire with some close family friends. The weather was perfect and it was a good time. It may become an annual tradition. More families will be added next year!

Kayleigh loved the pedal cars

Maybe if we built a corn pit, Jack would be able to get rid some of his energy

Great form, Kay

He loved it, even if he had trouble reaching the pedals

We had a terrific weekend as a family. After soccer on Saturday we headed to Fairweather Acres for some Fall Fun. Despite the clouds rolling in and darkening the sky we had fun. The best part was riding the go-kart pedal cars as a family. The kids loved getting pumpkins as big as they could and too heavy to carry. Kayleigh enjoyed looking at the scarecrows. The corn pit and maze were wonderful.

We wrapped up the weekend with a bike ride on the airline trail. The kids enjoyed stamping letters along the way.

It has been a wild summer. The kids have learned how to jump into a pool and swim to the ladder without and floaties. Kayleigh can jump in and swim to the shallow end!

The Wedding....the event

It's Time

Yay. It is time to head in, finally. And Jack is going to do it. The things he will do for root beer. It was incredible. Erin was beautiful and the kids were priceless. They did walk a bit fast down the aisle but nobody really told them when to go. Plus, wouldn't you go fast if you were 4 and 6. Kayleigh sat nicely with the bridesmaids and Jack came and sat with me. He didn't walk out the the wedding party but that was fine. He did pose very nicely for the pictures. I can't wait to see them.

We are ready Mommy!

He did it! I almost couldn't get a picture they came so quickly. Going for a ride in the limo. Kayleigh actually went with the wedding party to the reception. Jack came with me and Jim. Kayleigh was thrilled to be able to sit between Kevin and Erin and not on Ed's lap.
I did it Mommy! Now can we go and get my root beer.
Kevin was a bit worried about that flower. They are so happy together.

The Wedding ~ getting ready at the church

Before the ceremony, Erin got ready at the church. Kayleigh of course was there every step of the way. The boys arrived around 1:30 to do their duties and to give ample time for Jack to get use to being at the church. Upon hearing all the other guys complain about the shoes, Jack decided that his were too tight also and he needed to wear his sneakers. Thankfully they were not white.

He is just so cute!

Wedding Fun...The Rehearsal Dinner

The Rehearsal Dinner~ April 8th, 2011

The Happy Couple

As Kayleigh kept saying, "It's Erin's last day not being married."

Kayleigh and Elizabeth

yes, Elizabeth went participated in all the wedding festivities...she even had her own dresses to wear for each event! Thanks Aunt Erin for this outfit! The Flower Girl and Ring Bearer
Okay, I tried to get a decent picture of me with the kids. But obviously it didn't happen and it made us get to the church right on time....which didn't make a good start for Jack.

Pictures of the Week

The kids love playing in the puddle in our driveway. The other day Kayleigh asked if they could put on their bathing suits to play in it. I had to break it to her that it wasn't warm enough yet. Boy you should have seen the look she gave me.
Kayleigh thought she was so funny giving herself a pink mustache.
Oh, Kayleigh...I do love you!

Ice Skating Fun

We finally had a chance to use the Ice Rink Santa left. We figured with the flat yard, the rink would be perfect for some winter fun. Not so much with all this snow. After much begging, Jim set it up on top of the snow. We got a few laps around before it started to crack.
Then the kids thought it would be more fun to skate on the snow!
We love it!

I'm goig to try skating on the snow instead!

Get out the hockey gear...and sign me up!

Jack is 4!

Where did the time go? I can't believe that Jack Thomas is 4 years old. And for the first time since the day he was born there was no snow or ice on his birthday. Jack's birthday celebration went for quite a bit of time. We started a week early with cupcakes at Little Blessings, then his actual birthday which coincided with his Christmas Performance at school. Jack was great. He waited until Kayleigh came home from dance to have his ice cream cake. Then we celebrated it in our new house so GG could be there. Finally, he had some more cupcakes at his new preschool. No wonder the kid doesn't know when his actual birthday is!

Happy Birthday sweetie!
