Winter in Summer~Jack's Half Year Party
Oh winter weather is so frightful
And summer weather is do delightful
So come and have some first day of winter fun
In the warm summer sun!
Poor Jack...since he has been born it has been stormy, winter weather on his actual birthday. I guess that's what happens when you are born on the First Day of Winter. So we have been throwing him a half year party. This year he finally let me throw him and winter theme in the summer. Since Jack went to school he has made some of his own friends and wanted to have a friend party. So he invited his closest friends and we had fun in the backyard. Afterwards, the uncles and grandparents came over for some fun. I can't believe how big he is getting. He looks more like a little boy each day. His baby fat is gone. However much Jack wanted this party, he still doesn't like all the attention on him. My shy guy!
Dance Recital 2010
Another year of dance has come to an end. This was a special year since Kayleigh received her 3 year trophy. It was a year of tap and ballet. Everyone seemed to get a laugh that Kayleigh's tap song was "Rockin' Robin". Her ballet song was "I see a Princess" and it made me well up a bit. Yes, I am a bit sappy when it comes to my kiddos. Kayleigh enjoyed the year and can't wait for next year. She is already talking about taking part in the Finale. She loves Miss Jen and adored her helpers, Miss Kim and Miss Madison. Kayleigh kept track of all the acts Miss Kim was in and was concerned when Miss Madison hurt herself so she could only participate on a limited basis. I can't wait for next year. She is finally dancing and I can't wait to see how much she grows next year!
Kayleigh's Last Day of Dance 2010
This year of dance went by so fast. Kayleigh loves to dance and had a blast. This year was special because she received her 3 year trophy. She also got another perfect attendance award. Kayleigh we are really proud of you!
Kayleigh's Preschool Graduation
I can't believe that Kayleigh is done with Preschool. The two years have gone by way too fast. She has grown so much and is ready for Kindergarten. I'm not sure if I am ready for her to go. But the time has come for her to keep moving forward. She made some terrific friends and has developed a love for school that I hope she keeps forever. Our little girl is growing up.
The Graduate
Kayleigh and Owen...she finally realized it's okay to be friends with boys and this is her first real boy friend. Jim and I couldn't ask for a sweeter friend. This one she found all on her own. If this is what she chooses, then we have nothing to worry about. Owen just has to worry about Kayleigh finding him in college and getting him to propose to her.
Jack's Last Day of School
Jack had a great year of preschool. He loved going and made some good friends. He can't wait to go back in the fall. The last day was a perfect day for an End of the Year picnic. Jim took a half day so he could be there to share the moment with Jack.
